Create Your Best Year Yet

Well, it’s still holiday mode here in New Zealand with our schools returning the first week of February. So on this side of the world we do a lot of reflection and planning for the new year during January. An ideal time for us to design our best year yet.

Have you started your planning yet?  Did you take some time to reflect on the year that past to see where it worked and where it didn’t? That can be a very valuable exercise, otherwise we tend to go forward with old habits, old goals and old mindsets.

I’ve put together a list of questions to help you do some reflection and planning so this year is your best year yet.

  1. Firstly, Google a copy of the above Wheel of Life that you can print off, and complete it for yourself. Rate each area and then join those points together. The areas with lower points are the ones you may need to revisit this year. For the highest ranking point, what made that the happiest or most successful segment of your life?
  2. Ask yourself what worked well for you (in any area).
  3. What didn’t work well?
  4. What do you wish you hadn’t done last year?
  5. What do you wish you had done?
  6. What are you proud of that you achieved and changed about yourself?
  7. Who impacted you the most positively and why?
  8. What aspect of yourself do you not want to take into the new year?
  9. What zapped your energy the most and what can you do to change that now?
  10. Where were you undisciplined and what can you do to change it?
  11. What were you most grateful for last year?
  12. What should you have said no to?
  13. What are you determined to achieve or change this year?

What Should I Do Next

Now take all those answers and set some goals for yourself for the new year. Write out some action plans as to how you can achieve those goals and take the first step or ring me and we can work on it together. I have a special offer until 31 January for any of my FionaDeeNZ  Facebook Likers.

Have an amazing year!

Fiona
